It's a directional twin, which means the nose and tail aren't identical, but you can still ride it switch when you want to mess around. The shape leans forward. The riding doesn't have to.

Who It's For

This one's for intermediate to expert riders who've moved past just linking turns and want a board that rewards commitment. The waist runs slightly wider than average, and K2 built in 8mm of taper - the tail is narrower than the nose - so the board turns easier and floats better when the snow piles up. Beginners will find the tip-to-tail flex more board than they need right now. Riders chasing soft snow and long, drawn-out carving lines will find it's exactly enough.

Tech That Matters

The rocker profile starts at the front insert pack and runs out through the tip, which lifts the nose early and keeps it from diving in fresh snow. Sidecut is tighter in the tip and tail so you can snap into a turn fast, then opens up to a longer radius between your feet for a turn that stays smooth instead of grabby.
Underneath the topsheet, K2 added a new blend of ICG 10 Triax fiberglass with carbon fiber stringers running the length of the board. The carbon adds snap without turning the board into a plank. That glass wraps a lightweight A1 core built from three renewable woods - aspen for snap and response, bamboo laid in at 30 degrees underfoot for strength and edge-to-edge pop, and paulownia in the tip and tail to cut down swingweight so the ends feel lighter in the air.

The base is K2's Sintered 4000 - it takes wax deep into the material, which means better glide and a base that holds up over a full season instead of getting scratchy by February. And the whole thing is built with Hybritech construction, which strips excess sidewall material from the tip and tail and caps the edge in 3D to bond the fiberglass tighter while keeping weight down.

Why Willis

We've been fitting Pittsburgh riders since 1970, and we mount every board we sell in-house before it leaves the shop.
