It's light underfoot, forgiving when you need it, and it doesn't fight you on those blue groomers where you're just trying to find your rhythm. Comes mounted with the M10 GW binding — a solid, reliable setup that you don't have to think twice about. If you're browsing our womens ski packages, this one consistently lands on our short list for skiers who want a complete, ready-to-go setup without any guesswork.

Who It's For

This ski is aimed at intermediate female skiers looking for a reliable, adaptable ski for on-piste adventures, and it also appeals to advanced skiers who prefer a more mellow, forgiving pace rather than a demanding, high-performance carver. It sits as the gateway into Atomic's women's piste collection — more precise and stable than the entry-level Cloud Q8, but easier to handle than the higher-end Cloud Q11 or Q12 — making it a strong fit for someone who's built some fundamentals and wants a ski that grows with their technique rather than one they'll quickly outgrow.

Tech That Matters

The core blends a poplar Light Woodcore with a Densolite foam core, a composite build that keeps the ski light and responsive so fatigue doesn't creep in over a full day of skiing — this matters because a lighter, more agile ski is easier to control and less punishing on a developing skier's legs.
A Dura Cap Sidewall, running from base to topsheet, delivers secure edge hold through a wide range of turn sizes and speeds, which builds real trust in the ski's grip as technique advances. The Multi Radius Sidecut, part of Atomic's broader All-Condition Piste Shape, is the key shape feature here — rather than locking into one turn radius, it lets a skier move fluidly between short, quick turns and longer, more open ones, so the ski doesn't feel restrictive as a skier's style develops.
An Active Camber profile increases effective edge contact, adding stability and precision on firmer groomer snow, while a flat, directional tail supports confident carving. A Tip Protector is also built in specifically to add durability and extend the ski's usable life, a practical touch for a ski that's meant to handle everyday resort use.

Sizing

The Q9 comes in 140, 147, 154, and 161 cm. Most intermediate women in the 5'2"–5'6" range land on the 147 or 154. Shorter skiers or those just getting comfortable on blues tend to prefer the 140 or 147. If you're on the taller side or ski more aggressively, the 161 gives you more edge contact and better hold at speed — particularly useful on groomed hardpack.

Not sure? Come in and we'll size you properly. Ski length depends on more than just height, and five minutes with one of our staff is worth more than any sizing chart.

Why Willi's

We've been fitting Pittsburgh-area skiers for Seven Springs, Hidden Valley, and beyond since 1970 — that's more than 50 years of knowing what actually works on local terrain. Buy your Cloud Q9 here and we'll set the bindings to your DIN, check the mount, and send you out ready to ski.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0621/6001/1469/files/Atomic_Cloud_Q9_Skis_with_M10_GW_Bindings_2027-0-H.webp?v=1793587087
