Willi's Ski and Snowboards Wins SKI magazines GOLD Medal Award

 SKI Magazine, has named Willi’s the number one shop in the East. This is a significant award because readers as well as industry experts vote on it. Each shop is ranked in six categories: staff expertise, selection, value, back shop services, boot fitting and innovative programs. Over 10,000 readers and ten industry experts rate 1,500 stores.
Willi’s is in complete agreement with SKI Magazine when they say that shops play an important role in energizing snow sports. Shops are often the first contact points for enthusiasts, and everything from how often they will hit the slopes to how much they enjoy it, is influenced by shop staff. “We recognize that it is the people that make the difference,” says owner Greg Klein. “Our staff’s product knowledge is the best in the industry. It’s our sincere desire to make every customer’s shopping experience remarkable.” Due to the excellent relationship with the region’s manufacture’s representatives and imaginative training sessions, those working at Willi’s are enthusiastic about their knowledge. Customers, who are often concerned by the lack of staff knowledge found in most retail stores, are impressed with the wealth of information that is available to them at Willi’s. “It makes decision making easy,” says customer Trish Conrad. “You feel you are able to make an informed decision for yourself.” The staff is not only knowledgeable, but is passionate about their sport and their shop. After receiving the Gold Medal Ski Shop award, owner Linda Klein was quoted in an industry journal stating “We are excited to be recognized as one of America’s finest ski shops...the real credit for this award goes to our dedicated staff of managers, salespersons and technicians whose passion for skiing and snowboarding is second to none.”
The real pleasure, say the Kleins, comes from being recognized by the readers. While a pat on the back from industry experts is nice, it is the customer’s input that makes a difference.
